I think a female vocalist would've worked as well. Just as long as Billy sought someone who had a great range and could summon frustration, anger, and make use of her lower range. I think he even had this idea in mind.
*shrug* I think that most talented people can transfer between songs from other genders.
Just Maynard got there first and pushed Billy out of his hole. Lucky bastard.

Yea, Billy has stated that he had a female singer in mind when writing his music. "Pushed Billy out of his hole"?? LOL! I laughed at that, but have no idea what it means.

hmm, when someone is creating something (especially something as big as music...I have some artist friends, painters, who do the same thing), sometimes there is a tendency to keep it to yourself, like a squirrel with nuts. However, it's not a selfish thing. It's more of an, "are these nuts good enough for me to share?" "are they ready to eat?"...etc. It just happens, it's like second guessing a moment so much that you risk the chance of the moment passing without you being a part of it...
Make sense?

moral of this story. grow testacles and put yourself out there. haha just kidding. but seriously put it out there. if people dig it, awesome. if not, then at least u can say u tried. failing never hurt anyone, but quiting always stings.

I think failing has hurt a lot of people.... i disagree. i think failing actually gives you strength to pick up and move on or try again.

Now I understand what you meant by "pushing Billy out of the hole". I wasn't thinking along those lines at all. Makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining.
