5/21/05 Merkin West Orchard
Karen, our orchard goddess, had done a little pruning test on the apricots earlier this year. She clipped off a good portion of the fruit on half of the trees just to see if it would affect the quality. And it of course did. The apricots from the pruned trees were far more tasty than the unclipped trees. Way to go Karen. Overall the orchard is looking stunning. Almond trees, figs, and apricots are the stand out crops so far. The sorbet I made from the figs last season was delicious. I think I gained 5 pounds.

www.caduceus.org/On the 13th on November we will be officially launching the store. Caduceus.org online wine shopping cart. We are the first Arizona winery to sell their own wine via the internet. I haven't done any research to back up that statement. But it looks pretty damn fine in print, so lets just go with it. However I can say with some certainty that we are one of the very very few wineries in Northern Arizona who are actually producing and bottling our own wine. (most just bottle someone else juice and slap their own label on it. Or worse. They buy it already produced and bottled and then slap a label on it.Sinners.) All may purchase, but we can only ship to a specific list of states. Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Neveda, New Hampshire, and good old Texas. 2005 Nagual Del Sensei. Limit 3 bottles per customer. Only 60 cases available online.
