i'm sure danny lohner did all the insturmentation for this song, gaynard more than likely oversaw this song, and gave lohner some suggestions along the way to help the song, i personally love the interaction between gaynard and lohner even if it about this song, a few on emotive, and those few on TS those two work alot better together and i bet we'll see some sort of full on project come from this some day. also this song was rumored to be a tapeworm song, also drums from WandP were taken from the tapeworm project. theres also somemore i think billy took some guitars from tapeworm and added them to a song on 13th step, not that possitive though.

I'm hoping against all hope that we see more from Puscifer. Lohner and Keenan are great together!
Not to be god-awful picky feelmytool, but I'd rather you didn't refer to Maynard as gaynard here, if you don't mind. Thanks.

ya ^_^. i read VOGs post about hating the whole gaynard thing and thought of it quite funny, i usually just refer to him as timmy. but ya it was basiclly i saw her post and thought it was funny to get upset over someone being called "gaynard" but yes i'll respect your wishes and just call him maynard from now on.

It's the fact that at another forum they tend to disrespect MJK quite a bit and calling him gaynard or gaytard is one way they do it. This is a forum where we happen to respect the man, so I see no reason to use those names. Thanks for respecting our wishes too. I appreciate it. |

It's not the actually word I find offensive it's the fact the people like you, feelmytool, get on these boards, say you're a Tool or APC fan, and then treat MJK like he's a piece of shit. Or say things like I wish Maynard wasn't in the band or some idiocy along those lines. IMO MJK is the backbone of both bands and without him neither band would be good. You can't like a band and then hate the lead singer. To me it's a little hipiocritical(sp?). Besides that, let's look at the title: FOR THE LOVE OF MAYNARD. Somehow, and maybe this is just me, but I thought this site was to support MJK. But hey it's a free country.

I asked Feelmytool not to use that name and this person said they would respect our wishes, so it should have been left at that.
Please don't say, "It's people like you" when you don't know this person. I think that's a little unfair.
If you disagree with something a member says here, you have every right to voice your disagreement, but please try to do it in a more respectful manner. No flaming applies to all members here, new members and members who have been here since this board opened.

i respect maynard, he is a very talented and intelligent artist, the things he sings about are very out there and i love that, when i was thinking about calling him "gaynard" i imagined he would most likely get a laugh out of it, cause he himself said "there just words, and were all adults" right after he said "shitfuck" but non the less i doubt he wouldn't have a chuckle. i was never going to do the whole "gaynard" thing for long i just wanted to try a experiment i really do respect him, personally if anyone should leave APC it should be james iha, and jeordie. my dream lineup would be
vocals-maynard
guitars-billy
guitars-danny
bass-paz
drums-josh
percussion-tim alexander
studio guitar from time to time-troy
i can't see tool being tool without all of those members. so this is my formal apology to the board, unlike most of the TTS members i think maynard is the man pulling the strings and i can't see the band without him, it wouldn't be APC without maynard and billy, without them it would just be good lyrics or good music. well i hope i don't get flamed for my long ass apology/post.

It really wasn't a big deal to me. Sometimes you just don't know if people are just goofing (and do respect MJK) or seriously trying to be disrepectful toward the man and trying to "get our goat" here. So, I felt the gaynard thing was better off just left unsaid.
Let's forget about it. It's all cool.
But thanks for the post. That was nice of you.
AND.....I love your dream lineup!! I think that would be mine also. Although I'd love to more of Troy.

So pissed. I bought this cd and my "friend" left it on the floor of his truck to be trampled and have pop spilt on it for about a week. He returned it and didn't say anything about the cracks, scratches and stickiness. The case however was left unscathed, leaving me to assume the cd was the same way. However, upon opening the case, some hours later, I was greatlly appalled at what I saw. An unusable cd. Later that evening, i killed everyone in his family. j/k but shitty nonetheless.
