An article in the May 2001 issue if Meanstreet, Danny has this to say: "But we're also thinking that maybe the next thing will be
something like TheWall-type project with a movie and a longer record

No, lilac, there is no way it would be the "Wall type project". They would have had to have been working on that for the last four years, which we know they couldn't have been.
Are you really counting on a spring release of the new album? I just can't see that being possible. All accounts seem to indicate they are still in the writing phase. If that's true, a spring release would seem to be really pushing it.

I hope they don't push for an early release. Lord knows we don't need another Emotive. Rushing an album is never good. It's not good for the chemistry of the band and it tends to disappoint the fans. I don't care if it takes all year, Tool should take their time and make this one marvelous, which I already know it will be. If they really put alot of time and effort into it, then we will be rewarded for waiting with the best Tool album yet. I doubt fans are going to be mad about five or six more months. We've waited four years, what's a few more months?!

I'm sure it will be very uplifting, especially seeing as they are heavying it up a bit more than usual. One of the songs is 18 minutes. I'll bet it's going to be a double cd! ;D |

my bet is they do what they did last time..release a dvd like salival...but the live dvd to pacify the fans until TOOL comes out with their new record probably in late summer

But do you really think late summer for the cd? That'd be great too. But somehow I think it's going to be later.
