I wouldn't exactly punish Tool (fan support wise) for not actually being there though. They make good music so that's all I expect of them. Marketing methods have no interest to me. (Teh key word in that sentance is "methods," ofcourse, cause I'd be a raving hypocrite if I said marketing in general cuz there's a $15.00 Tool bookbag sitting at my feet as I'm typing.) If this self proclaimed hacker is telling the truth, then I just find the whole situation pretty damn funny. As much as I wouldn't mind chatting with Tool there's automatically ganna be a part of me that would think it was a trick anyway. Unless they have Sadam inspired body doubles, meeting them in person is the only legit way of communication.

On another note, it's obvious TA is a money gobbler. DUH!
No offence bastardometer! (please don't hurt me...) If someone's willing to pay the fee then that's their own right and business.

That little link is not were the bulk of the chat happened.
TA has a few chat rooms and as you "gain rank" other rooms are opened up.

The room that got the most visits from the band was the Sublunary room. Though the band bounced around a bit (the transcript online is from the Red Lodge room) they mainly hung out in Sublunary.

That being said.......it was a cluster fuck.........
People asking stupid ass questions or just spamming the chats was rather irritating to those who were asking legitimate questions............It was fun yet frustrating at the same time.

I had a few of my questions directly answered so that was cool.

As far as TA itself.........I enjoy it. Its only 40 bucks to join and you do get a few "trinkets" for the money......
Ticket pre sales and some exclusive perks (like the vinyl) also make it worth while , at least for me..........

Though there were some "imposturing" going on in some of the lower rooms (rumor has it that Buzz and Aaron were doing the bulk of it as well as others) the chat in the upper rooms were legitimate..........

Sometimes I find it hard to believe all the level of ignorance out there.
I'll just leave it at that, except to say that most of us
have much better things to do.
The chat went exactly as planned with all band members (except Justin) joining in right from the get go. And their artists friends also took turns answering questions (if you could call them questions). I'm fairly certain there will be a transcript at some point.
