The lyrics to "Rosetta Stoned" are nearly impossible to decipher, and seeing it performed live didn't help because Maynard "sings" mostly through a megaphone, so it was even more difficult to understand him. I realize that sometimes lyrics aren't as important as the overall song composition or whatever, but now that we've had 10,000 Days for almost a month, Maynard should send Kabir at toolshed.down.net the official lyrics.

Its my understanding (and we all know to take this kind of info with a grain of salt) that the lyrics & audio samples will be uploaded to tha site when the Joshua Davis re-design launches.........supposidly on the same date as the Vicarious DVD release .......June 6th.......

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan announced today that Tool will be releasing a DVD on June 6 of this year. Consisting of a video for their radio single "Vicarious" as well as an 18+ minute epic for the songs "Wings for Marie" and "10,000 Days (Wings Pt.2)," this will be the bands third DVD release in under a year and their fourth DVD release to date. The first was a limited release CD/DVD (or VHS) combo that hit stores late 2000.

Expected to be included with the package will be three live performances recorded during their 2002 summer tour as well as one brand new performance. Keenan comments:

"Adam [Jones] has been working diligently on the video for Vicarious and we are elated about the video's release. We also started working on a combined video for Wings 1&2 a few months ago and it has been in the editing room since. It is just amazing. It is very personal to me, so we had to do it right."

It is unknown as of now if the DVD release will be named after the single or if the name will be entirely unique. More news should be revealed in the upcoming weeks leading up to the release.

Wow, I can't wait to see the "Wings" video! That is incredible news! Every time I listen to "10,000 Days" (the song), a different line makes me cry. The video should be amazing.

Official Rosetta Stoned lyrics!!! Blair posted his August newsletter about an hour ago, and inserted this little gem into his ramblings:

10 to 2 am, X, yogi DMT, and a box of krispy kreme's in my "need to know" pose just outside of area 51, contemplating the whole chosen people thingy when just then a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my birkinstocks, and me yelping "holy fuckin' shit!"

then the X file being, looking like some kinda blue green Jackie chan, with Isabella Rossellini lips, and breath that reeked of vanilla chig champa, did a slow mo matrix decent outta the butt end of the banana vessel, and hovered above my bug eyes, my gaping jaw, and my sweaty elron hubbard upper lip and all I could think was, "I hope uncle martin here doesn't notice that I pissed my fuckin pants!!"

so light in his way, like an apparition, that he had me crying out...
"fuck me! It's gotta be the dead head chemistry. (the) blotter got right on top o' me. Got me seeing E mutha fuckin T!

and after calming me down with some orange slices and some fetal spooning, E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose. He said. "you are the chosen one. The one who will deliver the message. A message of hope for those who choose to hear it, and a warning for those who do not." Me! The chosen one. They chose me!!!! And I didn't even graduate from fuckin' high school!!

Then he looked right through me with somniferous almond eyes. Don't even know what that means. Must remember to write it down.

Thanks for posting that. It drives me crazy when I can't figure out the lyrics to a song.
