Tool on the radio...

Does anyone just go nuts when they play Tool on the radio? It's great to have the albums on CD at home, but there's something special about them playing Tool on the radio, I guess because it so rarely happens. I've only heard Tool a few times this past month and a couple of times it was Aenima, which sounds hilarious when they have to blank out all the 'bad' words.

I agree, especially when they play an old favorite like Sober or Prison Sex - how awesome is that creepy intro on the radio? Of course, hearing any TOOL or APC song on the radio is great. The funny thing now is that a couple of stations around here are censoring The Pot to the extreme; they blank out the "so" after "head up ass" because they think Maynard is saying "asshole"!

Oh, yeah, the old stuff is thrilling and I love to turn up that intro. I can't believe that censoring of The Pot. Even if it did say asshole instead of ass... a little asshole's not going to hurt anybody!

Yay! I just heard 'The Pot' on the car radio for the first time. I didn't notice them censoring it though I didn't hear the whole thing. I was really rocking out. ;D I just get so excited to hear them on the radio. There's just one station here that plays Tool though.

I heard 'Sober' yesterday... "Jesus won't you try and whistle" just doesn't have the same ring as the acutal version.

I heard Jambi on the radio this evening but they cut out most of the guitar solo in the middle, as well as some of the "shine on benevolent sun" part. It really sucks that they'll play an entire Led Zeppelin song or that 9-minute Green Day song but they edit the crap out of TOOL songs to make them more "radio friendly."

That does suck. I heard all of 'Lateralus' the other day and today they played a 'now and then' of 'The Pot' and '3 Libras'. I thought they should have picked an older Tool song. But still it's pretty cool. I drove slowly so I could listen to the whole thing even though I have the albums. ;D

I heard 'The Pot' again yesterday. Apparently it's my local radio station's favorite new song. I wish they'd play something off the rest of the album though.
