You can blabber about System of a Down all you want, money. They deserve it. I have complete respect and admiration for this band. Anyone who might be living in a cave, or simply has overlooked this band, check them out here: www.systemofadown.com/And while you're at it, check out Serj and Tom Morello's Axis of Justice here: www.axisofjustice.org/"Axis of Justice is non-profit organization formed by Tom Morello of Audioslave and Serj Tankian of System of a Down. Its purpose is to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together.
We aim to build a bridge between fans of music around the world and local political organizations to effectively organize around issues of peace, human rights, and economic justice."

i heard that if u interpret SOAD's lyrics that they can be considered "terrorists"....
Example:
"Why'd do you leave the keys up on the table? You wanted to" Referring to the hijacking of the planes that flew into the Trade Towers, or just referring to the US being vulnerable to attacks, while later he states
"I dont think you trust in my, self-righteous suicide" Funadmentalist Extremesists...martyrs...
One kid also said he heard they fund terrorists organizations...upon hearing this i dismissed the possibility completley...though i do understand where these people get off saying SOAD are terrorists...
But anyways...yeah ive listened to nothing but SOAD for the past couple days...its the shit..

Yes!!! A DVD!! ;D Glad you had a great time J! Can't wait to see the pics. Do you have a setlist? I'd love to hear more about the show. Can't remember the setlist H, they played most of the songs on 'Toxicity' and a few from 'Steel this album' and maybe one from 'System of a Down'. Most were from Tox, suppose cause of the DVD. All I can say is that they were fabulous, my brother had said they were not so great live at Reading Festival, so I was a little hesitant on going, now I'm so glad I did, cause they Rocked! ;D I'm sorry to say it I enjoyed this concert more than I did NIN, I think the crowd was more vibey than at NIN. Don't get me wrong I think NIN played brilliantly, I just think the atmosphere was different. Here are some pics.

Thanks for the pics J! Glad to hear it was a great concert. I think the "atmosphere" for NIN right now is a bit off. It seems like, to me, people don't know what to do with the new songs. When they are played the audiences seem kind of out of it. Like, "What the hell do we do, we don't know this song".

(If you like political music check them out.) "Let them eat war....that's how to ration the poor."

Hella. System of a Down are Roxxors.
I heard their new album will be influenced from Darkthrone to the Beach Boys, how sweet does that sound? Also Spiders is the coolest non tool music video ever.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN have been confirmed as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" on Saturday, May 7. This will be the band's first-ever appearance on the show, where they will perform two songs — "B.Y.O.B." and "Chop Suey". Johnny Knoxville ("Jackass") will be hosting the program, which airs on NBC.
In other news, SYSTEM OF A DOWN have announced the following U.S. dates:
Apr. 25 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore Apr. 30 - Austin, TX - Austin Music Hall
As previously reported, SYSTEM OF A DOWN held an exclusive preview of "Mezmerize", the first half of their new double-CD set, Wednesday night (April 13) in New York City. The listening session for the record were held at a hotel in the city's downtown Soho district. The second half of the "Mezmerize/Hypnotize" project, titled "Hypnotize", is due out sometime this fall.
"Mezmerize" arrives in stores on May 17.
SYSTEM OF A DOWN will stage its annual Souls benefit, in memory of Armenian genocide victims, on April 24 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. A full North American tour is tentatively slated for August and September.

Didn't get any vids, the great thing was though that they were filming the show for a dvd, so they sang most if not all of the sings from 'Toxicity' two from 'SOAD' and one or two from 'Steal this Album'. If any of you get the dvd, I was the first scream each time they finished their songs! ;D ;D Can't take me anywhere! I can't wait for Mezmarise either! It's going to be awesome! Weird though cause Amazons' release date is the 27th April, whereas SOAD.com says 17th May?! Oh well, suppose we all make mistakes! I'll order when it's released.
