Hey, I've been out of it for a while now, and just recently have been inspired, by listening to TOOL and going onto Alex Grey's site, to start up my art work again. Here are 2 of my recent works. I've really been out of practice. These are pastel drawings, I do Pencil drawing, and I'm leaning towards painting soon, that's when I have enough money to buy everyhing. Will post more, and I hope to see an improvement in my work.

Those are nice lilac and thanks for sharing!
I need to get back to drawing too. I just never can find the time.
One request though.....can you re-size those or any you post in the future. The file size is a bit large. I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Great job on the eyes! Alex Grey is an awesome artist, and I'm happy that he inspired you. Do you own any of his books? I have an autographed copy of Transfigurations. Keep posting your work!

Alex Grey is mentioned in this entry from blair on tool's website. Thought you might be interested. 24 Jan 05 CoSM THE SACRED ART OF ALEX GREY At Adam’s birthday party, I had a chance to talk with Alex and Allyson Grey about their Chapel of Sacred Mirrors project and the latest special events being held in the gallery (located at 540 West 27th Street, 4th Floor, NYC, NY 10001). For those who might not know, CoSM is an exhibition of mystical works of art by Alex, the visionary artist who created the cover art for Tool’s “Lateralus”, as well as the “sacred mirror” backdrops used during the tour. He also did the incredible animation sequences in the band’s video “Parabol/Parabola.” The exhibition of paintings and etched mirrors (which I see as not only reflections of the divine nature in us, but as inspiration for the apotheosis [i.e.“transmogrification of the human condition”) in the gallery itself, which has aptly been described as a sanctuary for contemplation” can be viewed Tuesday – Saturday from 11am to 6pm. However, there are also special events such as “full moon gatherings” (usually with Alex available for signings of his books, posters, etc), the information of which can be obtained from the CoSM website www.cosm.org or by calling 212-564-4253. There is also an interview with Alex discussing, among other things, his paintings of occult anatomy (subtle body) in the current issue of MAGICAL BLEND MAGAZINE (issue #96 “We Believe in the Future”). For those planning on visiting the gallery, it should be kept in mind that all of these treasures are supported by donations. BMB

Thanks L, I've seen the site where they are enhibiting the art. He's fabulous and his work is amazing. I've always had a certain facination with the eye, and when I browsed his website, of course having found out he'd done almost all of TOOL's album work for them, I was taken back by his talent. It's been my inspiration to start again, amoungst other things.

These two are amazing. I used to consider myself an artist (started out as an art major in college), but haven't been able to touch the stuff since I had a little one. I still have all the supplies and WILL get back into it one day, eventually. If I ever get ahold of a digi cam I'll take some pics of my work.

Those are fantastic H! Congratulations xxstinkfistxx....it's been a dream of mine to draw like the Japanese animated artists do. Breaking the Habit is one of my favourite videos where their art is involved. I have a drwaing of Chester from the video that I've done. I've already started on some of my own, and will post some when I'm done, I have one, but she's a bit messed up cause I got a tad angry and drew a heart with a knife protruding out of it ..... I'll try and take a pic of that and show you for your comments. Wow! I'd so love to learn it! It's never too late I hope! ;D

Very nice halfway. What is it done in? Watercolor? It is hard to tell in the picture.
I'd love to see more if you have some.
