I think M@ynard should right a book. Wouldn't it be righteous if he wrote a book explaining alot of his views and some of the meanings to his songs? I know I would definetely buy it and go to a book signing to get that shit autographed. I'm positive it would be a bestseller. Anyway, tell me what you think goonies.

I remember reading an interview on MTV with Maynard and Kurt Loder, and Kurt asked him if he's ever considered writing a novel. Maynard replied that he did consider it before, but that he opened up Microsoft Word and was staring at a blank screen for a while, then decided to look at Internet porn. If Maynard were to write a novel, I'd definitely buy it, although I would prefer an autobiography over a guide to song lyrics. I think we'd get a better understanding of the songs if we knew more about his life experiences, anyway. Of course, Maynard would never write about his life, especially his childhood. Maybe he could publish a book of his artwork or something. I'd like to see what he has created with his hands instead of just his voice.

NO! No guide to song lyrics, please!
I'm still upset over finding out what 3 Libras actually meant. It kind of ruined the song for me.
I don't even know if I'd like an autobiography. I like the fact that he remains private and we don't know every detail of his life, like we do so many celebrities.
Publishing his artwork though...that I would love.

There is no need to worry, people. This will never happen. Maynard hates the public eye, remember?

(Spoken Word Concerts) Well I do have to say, even though I'd rather not know the true meaning of songs and let them be what they are to me, the commentary on Judith was very good. It made me understand and appreciate the song much more.

I feel kind of dumb asking this, but what commentary? On the amotion dvd, there is a section to have Maynard commentary or Billy commentary for the videos. The MJK comments are awesome. Check it out. Definetely worth it. P.s. There are no dumb questions. Just dumb answers. ( hopefully mine wasn't lol )

Just wonderin VOG, What did you think it was about? i thought it was about someone who was bitter about something that had happened to them and blamed god. Not necessarily MJK saying it b/c I knew he wasn't. But like he was singing from the point of view of someone trying to shoot down someone's belief not because of there belief but because of their personal vendetta with God. For an example, I thought it was reverse than what he explained: someone like his mother who was denouncing their faith because something had happened to them that left them resentful towards god. Geez I'm not even sure if that made any sense. Reading it makes me wonder what the hell I mean to say! lol

And listening to MJK's commentary made me like it more because, now, it's an inspirational song to me and reminds me that people's faith is very powerful as opposed to before when it was just a good song to yell "fuck your god". lol

he explained: someone like his mother who was denouncing their faith because something had happened to them that left them resentful towards god. It wasn't about someone denouncing their faith. It was about his mother's undying faith. The resentment is toward the "friends" of his mother who would visit her and praise her for her faith and then talk about her behind her back. The resentment is (was?) also toward the people who took "light and love out of the equation" and made God in to the God we should fear and one that judges.

It wasn't about someone denouncing their faith. I think VOG was saying that's what HE thought it was about.
