Does anyone else absolutely love the "Outsider - Frozen Yogurt Remix"? The Apocalypse remix is great also, but this Frozen Yogurt one is really "getting to me". Is it wrong that certain songs go straight to my, uh, female parts? LOL! *edit* Make that frosted yogurt! LOL! Thanks Nylar. (Never try to type at the same time something is affecting your female parts.)

By the way, it's called the "Frosted Yogurt Mix" (no idea why - James Iha is weird). I haven't listened to it yet, but I can hazard a guess that it's Maynard's voice that goes straight to your female parts - am I right?

When I first heard I almost pranged my car! ;D It's a brilliant cd, I'm glad I got it for Xmas!

I like both the remixed versions of The Outsider, but I like the apocalypse remix better. I love the vocals in the beginning. While the frosted yogurt remix is cool, the vocals are just too much like the original, imo . (I think the best version of The Outsider is the acoustic version from the KROK studio set, 5/7/04. It is GREAT shit for those who haven't heard it yet.)

Oh yea....the acoustic version is great. (As is "The Stranger" and "Weak and Powerless" from that set)

aggread paz get's to my man parts everytime i watch the amotion dvd, i was lucky enough to find it at best buy about 3 days before the official release date. it took me a while to figure out that those where vocals from the acoustic shows. to whoever said something about the james iha remix all that guy does is just take the FULL vocal performance and remixes the music thats already there and thats that.

The vocal performance is different though in the Frosted Yogurt mix. He has to do something with the vocals, not just remixing the music.

well, unless you've mistaken it with the dl remix (highly doubtful) then the only difference is the keyboard part, the childish sounding drums, and the "breathing" sounds that are made in the chorus, and little things here and there, but other then that it's just the original song with some effects splattered on it. that's basiclly the same thing with the blue remix except it's alot more simular to the original then this one, and for the danny remix of the outsider, the long scream was taken from the tonight show performance. to lengthen a peace of music you'd have to lower the pitch, the pitch of the voice is the same.

Well, I'll take your word for it. You sound like you know what you are talking about. But the vocals just sound different to me.
I'm going to have to go listen to the original and the remix again.

i listened back to all of these songs and the outsider live performance, and i have to say i don't know how right i was, i usually state it's just a guess but with all that equipment danny has it's more than likely the original streched like hell. as for james' vocals it sounds way to close to the origingal it sounds like he just chorused the hell out of the hole song. i would of loved to see a whole 13th step remix cd, with all the different artist remixing it, have massive attack do one. maybe an acaplella version of the noose. that's something i thought would be very moving after hearing fiddle and drum. well most of this information i can account for but after hearing that scream i'm going to have to say it's the studio version.

Ooooh! An a cappella version of The Noose!
How great would that be??
(I haven't listened to the two 3 libras versions again to give you a reply on that yet)

I'm not a big fan of remixes but I love aMOTION. I especially like the 3 Libra's remix. I know there is 2 but I love the one were Maynard sings with no music at all. I think it's the Main Courses version. Paz is a beautiful women & yes she gets my man parts as well ;D.
