I'm an old 60-70's rockaholic. Led Zep does it for me. I too served my country. I too hated the foundations our country was built upon during Vietnam, Nixon and Watergate. I rebelled. I yelled and I screamed. I used "fuck" with everyother word when they locked your ass up for saying it. In short I was pissed. I felt like I had been raped of the one thing I was most proud of. My citizenship in the U.S.A. I have some idea of the pain young people of this generation suffer.

Now my most prominent recurring vision is those towers coming down. Whatever reason you choose to use for blame for that day the bottom line is 19 fucking insanely fanatical animals killed 3000 of our neighbors in cold blood. We have to remember that day and never let it happen again.

I was introduced to APC and Maynard via the movie "Constantine." Maynard is on par with Plant with his incredible voice and imposing emotional delivery. His band is fantastic. I have listened to his message and I know first hand from where he speaks.

I have a request. Maynard will never see what I write here but still I will ask. Please, Maynard use your power to offer positive, credible and peaceful solutions to what you see is wrong. Campaign for that. It's O.K. to bitch but actions speak louder than words. I ask you to give your listeners that message. I will be listening. I hope others will also.

I'm glad that you found Maynard's music through Constantine. Many people have been bitching about APC using their music in films. Saying that they are becoming too commercial. (Personally I look at it as two separate art forms complimenting each other.) So, this is great to see that the movie has introduced someone to Maynard's music, someone who might not have never given him a listen otherwise.

I definitely appreciate the comments. I am sure you have seen a lot of BS on this site since it's inception. And I'm sure you have seen some encouraging and hopefull things as well. I think this guy has an incredible talent and I enjoy listening to some of his music. At least I can understand what he is saying. I hope he outgrows this hatred he has for "The System" and produces the music he is capable of. If he is truly inspired by people like Joni Mitchell and John Lennon I know he has it in him. Besides, he has a child.

I don't see it so much as "hatred" for the system as wanting some positive changes in our Government.

So far I have not seen anything that MJK has produced that I would consider less than what he is capable of. Do you care to expand on that?

im utterly obsessed with maynard. ive been a tool fan since i was 7 and an apc fan since 2000. tool is an AMAZING band, they are so talented and the music is so beautiful and complex. my favorite tool song has to be sober or third eye. Sober was the song that made me fall in love with tool and from then on ive been a rabid fan. im an old school tool fan so my favorite cd is undertow. apc is also amazing but they've gotten to political for my taste. But thats ok cause eMOTIVE was still a good cd. But none of the other apc cd's compare to Mer De Noms. That cd was so powerful and moving. Especially Orestes and 3 Libras. thank god for this site im so happy i found it! maynard's a sexy bitch and he has the most beautiful voice ive ever heard. i got his initials tattooed on my lower back to showcase my undying love. but sadly, none of my friends are fans of either band, we'll thats their loss. they cant appriciate good music.
