Im not really religious either.. I would say I try to be more spiritual than religious. I think religion seperates people for the most part into.. Catholics, Christians, Baptists..ect..as far as the Bible.. I think it is a flawed book in my opinion. I think it was written by man and is therefore open to misinterpretation, lies and mistake. That doesnt mean that I dont believe in a God though.. I just dont agree with how He is depicted in the Bible.. I think the Bible is contradictory...but it doesnt mean that I cant find something useful out of it.... I can find intriguing things in many books of faith.. The Kabbalah being one of them..I think that religion is a great divider... I agree with you:)
Also.. I just reread your post ..please explain more about the satanism idea.. Im curious - Sparrow

well the most common form of satanism is anton Le vayan which is named after the guy who actualy founded satanism as a legitamate religion. this is the type you see all the hardcores who listen to manson and slipknot who think there so evil with there black eyeliner and spike cuffs. they believe that they them selves are gods, the rule of eye for an eye applys, they only use satan/lucifers name as the centerpoint of their belief they think he doesnt excist and deny all spiritual excistance. well this is waht i have come to believe, correct me if im wrong. My religion differs from this as i believe in the relm of astrial and that Enki *satan* actualy excists as do demons and demi gods. the basic under-lying message in this religon is respect and self expantion. the goal of this religion is to inform/reeducate the masses on "the truth" another bias turn. basicly they try and further humanty and give you the knowlege to asend your self to godhead. any other questions? if you want to know more about the religion go here this is my studdy web site lots of kind people you can ask sencer questions of. www.joyofsatan.com

I think you mean "Anton La Vey"? Anyway....I hate to do this, but it always disturbs me when people "label" other people. Especially judging and labeling people by what music they listen to. I don't think it's necessary to bring in Manson and Slipknot fans as an example of Satanism. By doing so you are labeling these fans and not all fans of those bands are in to Satanism.

yes thats what i meant and yea not ALL but think about it manson is a high preist in Antons satanic cult and less face it all it takes these days is a slight infactuation with a person to take on there entire out look on life. Cultural attitudes values and beliefs of an artists music is strongly reflected in the fans. thats the point im making i was simply giving an example by labling them because go look at the kids who wear those cloths. have a chat with them perhaps.
but yes i see whereyour coming from but i dont see the big deal about labling people no one ususaly gets offended
unlike this lady who came into my store the other week she filled out a form but left a part blank so i filled in her status as MRS and she went mental like i had just filled it in a MR fucking hell man i was like jeeze lady could i interest you in a chill pill. psycho.

but think about it manson is a high preist in Antons satanic cult Manson is not a high priest in Anton’s “cult”. To quote Manson, “I am not and have never been a spokesperson for Satanism. It’s simply part of what I believe in. Along with Dr. Seuss, Dr. Hook, Nietzsche and the Bible, which I also believe in. I just have my own interpretations.”While visiting La Vey, Manson was given a card that “certified” him as a “Minister in the church of Satan”. Manson states the card and his “ordainment” was simply a gesture of respect and akin to an honorary degree from a university. I’ve worked several Manson concerts and know for fact that the man does not consider himself at all a “High Priest” in Satanism or any religion for that matter. Cultural attitudes values and beliefs of an artists music is strongly reflected in the fans. “Cultural attitudes, values and beliefs” are not always reflected in the music. Not all music is strictly written about someone’s beliefs. Music is about a lot more than that. Relationships, life experiences, dreams, nightmares, feelings, etc., etc, and sometimes (as Maynard himself has said) the lyrics are simply a reflection of what the music itself is or is interpreted by the musician to be. I love Nine Inch Nails. I know lots of people who love NIN. I don’t think any one of those people I know that like NIN know what Trent’s cultural attitude, values and beliefs are. They simply like the music. It means something to them and it doesn’t have anything to do with Trent’s beliefs. My love for any music has absolutely nothing to do with the artists beliefs or values. It’s a love for the art itself. Of course you always going to have some fans who “follow” whatever the artist believes in. When Maynard says, “Fuck your god”, you’ll get people who even though they really don’t know what they believe, haven’t figured it out for themselves, will go along with it and that’ll be their anthem. But I don’t think you can say that it is “strongly reflected in the fans”. Saying that pretty much says all fans are sheep and that simply is not true. thats the point im making i was simply giving an example by labling them because go look at the kids who wear those cloths. have a chat with them perhaps. I have looked at them. I have chatted with them. As I’ve said, I’ve worked several concerts and I also know several Manson fans (myself included back in his early days). So I’ve seen them and I’ve talked to them and there is no way I could just stick a label on them. They are people of all ages, all beliefs. You cannot label anyone for the clothes they wear or for the music they listen to. but i dont see the big deal about labling people no one ususaly gets offended I get offended. It is a big deal. Labels are never good. Society labels people, schools label the kids, kids label each other and then you have the parents that label musicians. And the labels are usually put on someone or some music without even really knowing the person or listening to the music. It’s the same as judging someone for their looks, their clothes, their music. I don’t want a label on me as I am more than just a word someone makes up to judge what they think I am. And I don’t want someone judging me for anything other than the person I am inside. And to clarify Satanism….it is about worshipping yourself, because the belief is, you are responsible for your own good and evil. And now I'll probably be labeled a bitch, and that's fine. But I'm simply giving you my opinion.

Get out of the corner, silly. I am not always right. I may have a little more insight in to a few things since I've lived through them longer than you have, but it doesn't mean I am right. If I oppose your view point Ty, I'm just giving my opinion, not trying to tell you that you are wrong or that I am right. And I'm not trying to pick an argument or anything if I oppose your opinion or anyone else's here, but I am going to speak my mind and give my opinions. In this case, I did know a little more simply because I have worked with Manson. But other than that, everything was just my views. If you learn something from my views....that's great. But if you ever disagree with my opinion....do not hesitate to tell me. I respect everyone's opinions here whether I agree with them or not.

I believe in God and I'm a Christian, but nevertheless I think the church needs to do something or they'll get lost. Actually, they're already on that way. Susan, I agree with you that not all Manson or Slipknot fans are Satanists. Although I'm not really a fan of Manson I like some of his music and I really respect and appreciate him for obviously being very intelligent! He has some very good opinions! But I just really think that labelling itself is in every human being (so Ty, you are forgiven ). We label all day long, because it's so easy to squeeze people into some sort of stereotype. And the reason for that is: we are simply afraid! Afraid of maybe not knowing what to expect because it's so different. I'm really working on myself not to label people, but I sometimes catch me falling back and doing it ...because then I can slander all day long about all these silly, stupid, dumb, unfortunate and ugly people and it's soooooo good to do it! hahahah just joking ;D
