I was going to order a copy of the movie, but first of all, the website isn't secure and I don't want someone to get my credit card information, and second, I think $14.95 is a bit much for a 29-minute movie. It looks interesting, however.

I paid through paypal.
I agree 14.95 for 29 minutes. But who knows...it could be a really great 29 minutes. I think it will be. You can never really tell from the trailer, but it did peak my interest.
It doesn't get shipped until the 28th. I'll post a review when I get it.

Somebody at TA was all worried over what kind of corn nuts those were when I posted this pic over there.
I actually went to cornnuts.com to research and found that the white bag is the original corn nuts. The lengths I go to to help a fellow fan out!!! ;D

Somebody at TA was all worried over what kind of corn nuts those were when I posted this pic over there. Damn, and I thought I was obsessed! Maybe you can invite some TOOL Army people over here. Is it worth the money to join? A lot of people I've talked to say it's a waste of money and time. Is it a one-time fee, or do you have to renew every year?

Until (or if) that place gets an overhaul.....I wouldn't waste my money.
I think the place was meant as an experiment by Tool and the people running it (and I say running it loosely....I don't think anyone actually "runs" it. They don't seem to give a shit about it). The experiment was to see just how many people can make total jack-asses and fools of themselves, run amock and act like they are on a kindergarten playground. That and see how many people can go on about all the geometrised, paraboling, spiraling the fuck out higher consciousness while conjuring up Aleister Crowley to exorcise their demons and magickly find their inner peace. Oh yea...and also to see just how many times people can shout: Think for Yourself. Question Authority! (Which to most people there it seems to mean.....I will not ever listen to anyone else's opinions and I don't have to have any responsibility for myself or my actions.)
LMAO!! Okay, it's not that bad. But the mystical crap sometimes comes off as not quite sincere, just following someone else's lead, if you know what I mean.
There are some very good people there. I have met quite a few.
But I still would swear that the whole thing is just a big joke and Tool, et al, are laughing their asses of at us.
;D

Ok, thanks for the warning. I consider myself a spiritual person, but I could do without the esoteric ramblings of Blair's newsletters, for example.

There are many people at TA that bitch about Blair's ramblings. I myself find them rather entertaining. I don't try and find some deeper meaning or read between the lines as I think we are "supposed" to, I just think they are a fun read and I enjoy them. I think people take things too seriously sometimes. And quite possibly Blair thinks that we should. I don't know. Maybe he would be offended if I think of his ramblings as entertaining and not trying to find something deeper. And maybe I'm just a bad, bad Tool fan because I don't take some of the stuff too seriously. And btw.....I think I was a little harsh on Tool Army in my reply above. I ranted a bit but was maybe a little unfair. There are definitely some very good people there. (And a lot of asses that you're going to find anywhere anyway.) But the board is quite a mess and now all the members in an uproar because some of us want change, want some organization amongst the chaos. It's caused a divide that I hate. It's become an "us vs. them" situation that none of us ever wanted. So, it's not a real "happy" place to be right now. Hopefully things will change. Although I still do believe that Tool and the council are laughing their asses off at us all. ;D

I think TOOL fans in general take TOOL too seriously, and perhaps Blair is making fun of those fans and is having a good laugh over the people who e-mail him thinking that they have "cracked the code" of his latest newsletter. As for me, I skim the newsletters for any relevant information about TOOL and leave the rest of Blair's ramblings to the overanalyzers. I think Blair is trying to be funny, but I don't appreciate his sense of humor, nor am I impressed by his silver Coleman. However, I'm glad that he provides us with a little bit of TOOL news on occasion.

Oh, I know he is laughing his ass off at me. This is so embarrasing, but what the hell, we're all friends here, right? Oh wait, I don't even know you people. LOL! Anyway...I PMed Blair awhile back asking what the meaning of the Tool Army symbol was. He e-mailed me immediately with this "clue". I fucking searched and googled my ass off finding all kinds of shit, gathered up all the information that I weeded out, thinking I either had the answer or at least was on the right path. I sent my conclusions to him, all excited mind you. He never answered me. I did a little more searching in a different area, again sent him my findings and still have never heard from him. Oh well, I did learn quite a bit of interesting information. (And also that I really do have a sign on my forehead that says "Gullible Idiot!") Oh c'mon.....you gotta love and respect the silver Coleman!!

Don't feel too ashamed of yourself, Halo; I knew of a guy who e-mailed Maynard several times asking him where he could find the book A Joyful Guide to Lachrymology.
To get back on topic, I ended up ordering the movie about a week ago through PayPal and am anxiously awaiting its arrival, though I know they won't ship it until the end of the month. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky people who receive an autographed poster! Just think - I could finally have Ed Asner's autograph! ;D
